Military spending will still rise steadily

SINGAPORE will not be caught in what looks like an arms race that's building up in the region, according to Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen in Parliament.
Singapore will keep a close watch on the situation, but it will still stick to its long-term approach in increasing military spending at a steady pace, Dr Ng said on Thursday during the Committee of Supply 2015 debate on the Ministry of Defence.
