PANELLISTS at the Deloitte Singapore Budget 2017 seminar on March 8 at the Grand Hyatt. The Business Times was the media partner for the event and it was moderated by BT senior correspondent R Sivanithy.

Panellists said it would be likely that the government would lower or even do away with the GST relief on goods imported by parcel post. Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat had said in his Budget 2017 speech that Singapore must strengthen its tax revenue base in a pro-growth and progressive manner.
