South Korea Sept EU exports post biggest jump since mid-2014, shipments to China, US fall
[SEOUL] South Koreans exports to the European Union in September posted the sharpest gain since May 2014 and their first rise this year as demand there recovers, government data showed on Thursday.
Exports to the EU jumped 19.7 per cent in September in annual terms versus a 20.8 per cent decline in August, preliminary data from the trade ministry showed.
Shipments to China fell by 5.0 per cent, a third straight declining month.
Exports to the United States last month slipped 3.7 per cent, falling for a second consecutive month, according to the trade ministry.
