Tenaga slapped with RM2 billion in taxes from additional assessments

THE tax man has come a-calling for Tenaga Nasional to the tune of over RM2 billion (S$664.3 million) in additional assessments, shocking the market.
The state-owned utility said in a brief filing to the stock exchange on Friday that it had received Notices of Additional Assessment for the years of assessment 2013 and 2014 of RM985,533 and RM1.082 billion respectively, and that it would appeal.
