[BANGKOK] Thailand plans to speed up infrastructure projects and introduce short-term economic measures to help low-income earners and farmers, a new deputy prime minister said on Monday, as the military government seeks to boost the flagging economy.
Somkid Jatusripitak, appointed last week to oversee the economy, told reporters the country's economic fundamentals remain strong.
He said he would meet with the business sector on Thursday to seek their cooperation in driving forward Southeast Asia's second-largest economy.
