Trainers to be 'transformed' to keep up with change
SSG will work with training players and employers to help them better codify, preserve and transfer skills
Singapore
THE government is kicking off an ambitious plan to equip adult trainers with the ability to spot skills needed ahead for industry and to impart the skills to workers in the most effective manner.
Called "The Adult Education (TAE) Sector Transformation Plan", it has three key thrusts: the training providers need to take steps to transform themselves to become a strategic partner of businesses and individuals; SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will continue to support the TAE community to leverage technology for training and learning; and the trainers who receive direct funding must be able to show the outcomes of the training provided.
