Trump and Abe all set to practise the art of the deal
Tokyo
US President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will both be practising the "art of the deal" (to use the title of a book Mr Trump co-authored in his days as a businessman) when the two leaders meet in Washington towards the end of this week.
Mr Abe will be offering Mr Tump a barrage of business deals designed to create jobs in the US, in the hope that this will persuade the US leader to go easy on Japan over trade and currency matters, while Mr Trump can dangle the bait of complying if the terms are good enough.
