Trump to skip White House Correspondents' Association dinner
Washington
CAPPING a week of extraordinary hostility towards the news media, President Donald Trump tweeted on Saturday that he would not be attending this year's charity dinner of the White House Correspondents' Association, scheduled for April 29, a Washington tradition symbolising comity between the president and the press.
"I will not be attending the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner this year," Mr Trump posted on Twitter. "Please wish everyone well and have a great evening!"
