Currency traders sell the pound, as May has hoped for a sizeable majority

FEARFUL that that the Conservatives will struggle to obtain a workable majority in the coming UK election, currency traders dumped the pound.
Traders based their decision on a single YouGov opinion poll in The Times last week. It estimated that Premier Theresa May's lead had shrunk to only five points, with less than a fortnight before the June 8 election.
