Ukraine 2015 inflation may be around 40%: World Bank
[KIEV] Ukrainian inflation could reach around 40 per cent in 2015, World Bank economist Anastasia Holovach said on Wednesday, forecasting a steeper increase in prices than the 30 per cent rise seen by Ukraine's central bank.
The World Bank expects the rate of inflation to fall after 2015, but Ukraine will not return to single-digit inflation before the end of 2017 or in 2018, Holovach said in a briefing.
The economy is likely to contract 7.5 per cent this year, as forecast by the central bank, she said.
