Widespread support for alcohol restrictions in all age groups
Singapore
PUBLIC sentiment towards a Bill on alcohol restrictions tabled in Parliament last week is highly favourable as a new poll by government feedback unit Reach shows that as many as 81 per cent of the respondents support the recommended curbs on alcohol consumption.
The telephone poll of 1,145 randomly selected Singapore residents aged 15 and above, conducted from Jan 20-26, was commissioned by Reach to better understand Singapore residents' views towards the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Bill, which was tabled in Parliament on Jan 19.
