Workplace Safety and Health Council names two new members
TWO new members have been appointed to the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council with effect from Wednesday, April 1, each for a two-year term.
They are Tan Puay Hin, regional chief executive officer, Southeast Asia, PSA International; and Zee Yoong Kang, chief executive officer, Health Promotion Board.
The former will take over from the late Quek Keng Liang as chairman of the Logistics and Transport Committee, while the latter will serve as deputy chairman of the Workplace Health Committee.
In addition to the two new appointments, Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin has also re-appointed five current members. This includes a three-year term for WSH Council chairman Lee Tzu Yang, who is also chairman of The Esplanade Co.
The council comprises 19 members from diverse backgrounds, each with extensive industry experience in the area of workplace safety and health.
