Singapore
LAW and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam on Wednesday slammed the Workers' Party's (WP) proposed Elected Senate to safeguard Singapore's reserves and approve key appointments as "flawed" and "unworkable".
He said the Elected Senate not only fails to address the objections which the opposition party has raised against the Elected Presidency, but that the scheme the WP has offered as an alternative only worsens the situation.
