TRADING in the shares of beauty and slimming specialist Mary Chia Holdings was rejuvenated on Friday after it announced a takeover bid by the controlling owner of Suki Sushi, operator of Japanese and fusion restaurants in Singapore at 11.1 Singapore cents apiece.
The counter gained 4.3 Singapore cents or 64 per cent to finish at 11 Singapore cents on Friday after it resumed trading following a trading halt on Thursday afternoon pending the announcement. Some 3.8 million shares worth S$418,000 were done with the counter hitting an intraday high and low of 12.1 Singapore cents and 11 Singapore cents respectively.
