A concert hall recital - without a player
The Steinway Spirio can replay the music of great pianists, down to each key stroke and pedal motion
Singapore
FANCY having Glenn Gould, Sergei Rachmaninov or George Gershwin play on your piano in your living room? All three may no longer be alive but you can have their music - or that of any other famous pianist - be played to their exact touch and interpretation in the comfort and privacy of your home.
The newly-launched Steinway Spirio piano is a technologically-advanced "player piano" that can automatically play any piece from Steinway's large and expanding catalogue. You can select pieces via a complimentary iPad that is connected to the piano. Its exclusive catalogue is rich enough to have different interpretations of the same pieces, so you can instruct the Spirio to, for instance, play the Rachmaninov or OIga Kern version of Flight Of The Bumblebee.
