THE Malaysian Association of Singapore (MASIS) was officially launched on Friday to foster camaraderie among Malaysians living in Singapore through various activities such as business and student events and family outings.
With an estimated over half a million Malaysians living here, the setting up of MASIS, not unlike similar associations in several countries that hope to nurture a warm sense of community among Malaysians living abroad, may seem long overdue.
