An absolute cracker of a Wrestlemania
WWE's annual showpiece in New Orleans produced many shocks and surprises
THE 34th edition of the WWE's annual Wrestlemania took place in New Orleans last Sunday, and the American sports entertainment company pulled off a quite spectacular show.
The first match of the evening - a three-way battle involving Finn Balor, The Miz and Seth Rollins - was the perfect way to kick off the event, with the majority of the 78,133-strong crowd inside the Mercedez-Benz Superdome lapping up the action.
Backstage, Japanese superstar Asuka wasn't watching the match. She was in a pensive mood as she awaited her turn to enter the ring later in the evening. She had just been given word by the company's officials that her proud two-and-a-half-year undefeated streak would come to an end that night, against the WWE Smackdown women's champion Charlotte Flair.
