Art gallery closures grow for small and midsize dealers
This is the result of a trend towards an intensely commercial and competitive art market

THE Lower East Side gallery On Stellar Rays announced in April 2016 that it was expanding into 4,500 square feet, to allow for a more ambitious exhibition programme as well as performances in its basement space.
This month, just over one year later, the gallery announced that it was closing.
