A new 2.0-litre gasoline engine may help Jaguar's sleek sport utility vehicle (SUV) sink its claws into a wider audience
THE F-Pace is Jaguar's first SUV. Launched in Singapore in June last year, it's very much in fashion, since crossovers and SUVs have continued to soar in popularity.
The fur in the soup was that the F-Pace didn't have a mainstream model for buyers to get their paws on: At launch, buyers had a choice of a 2.0-litre turbodiesel model or a 3.0-litre V6 petrol.
That's almost like launching a new smartphone lineup with just a budget version and a flashy flagship phablet, but no mid-price model to really rake in sales.
