Group calls for robust world climate pact
Conference declaration appeals for more money for local authorities to save planet

THOUSANDS of cities, provinces and states around the world have urged national governments to deliver a "robust, binding, equitable and universal" planet-saving climate pact in December.
In a declaration on Thursday at the close of a gathering in the French city of Lyon, they committed to doing their part to halt global warming in support of national and international efforts.
