Vetements, the most talked-about brand, throws the book of haute couture rules out of the window

Designer Demna Gvasalia of Vetements parlayed his rebellious streak into groundbreaking style with his (from far left) outsize dungaree aprons, "gorilla sleeves", oversized tops teamed with extraordinarily high boots and shrunken hoodies. His 2016-2017 Fall/Winter collection on July 3 in Paris was closely watched by the fashion elite as well as social media, which was abuzz after the runway revelations.


REBEL brand Vetements sent fashion into a spin Sunday with an haute couture show that broke all the rules, appropriating clothes and shoes from 17 other brands and recutting them in its own irreverent neo-Soviet street style.
