Singapore Grand Prix to go on as planned despite haze: Organisers
[SINGAPORE] The Singapore Grand Prix this weekend willgo ahead as planned for now, despite the haze, its organisers said on Tuesday. "Based on the current PSI levels, there are no plans to amend the published racing and entertainment programme," Singapore GP said in a statement. It added that it will work with the relevant authorities to get the best possible forecast of the PSI levels over the three-day event, which takes place from Sept 18 to 20.
A number of measures have been put in place. The PSI reading and relevant health advisory will be displayed on the Singapore GP website, its mobile app and the giant screens at the race site. This information will also be broadcast on the in-circuit radio system and posted at all entrances to the Circuit Park.
