Affordable broadband to low-income households
UNDER a national initiative to deliver affordable high-speed fibre broadband to low-income households, up to 8,000 homes will get M1's 100Mbps fibre broadband service, an Internet router, and a 7-inch Alcatel tablet, all for S$6 a month over a 2-year contract.
As the Infocomm Development Authority's (IDA's) Home Access programme partner, M1 hopes to bridge the digital divide in Singapore and its staff volunteers will conduct regular training sessions in the use of mobile applications and devices for Home Access households.
