MORE than a decade in the making, the Louvre Abu Dhabi opened its doors this week, bringing the famed name to the Arab world for the first time.
French President Emmanuel Macron, in an interview with local daily Al-Itihad, hailed the museum as a "decisive turning point" in France's ties with the United Arab Emirates. He is on his first visit to the Middle East for the inauguration.
