A Sotheby's staff with Zhang Daqian's splashed ink and colour painting which is sold to Chinese tycoon Liu Yiqian. He and his wife have a penchant for buying expensive works of art. He paid US$36.3 million for a tiny porcelain Meiyintang "Chicken Cup" and US$170.4 million for a Modigliani painting.
