The Face of Facebook: When the face of Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and CEO of Facebook, was published in The New Yorker magazine in 2010, Beijing-based artist Zhu Jia sent a scan of it to over 50 of his friends, which included other artists.
He invited them to come up with their own interpretation of the portrait, and compiled their unsigned pieces into a conceptual mixed media piece titled The Face of Facebook.
This also became the name of his first solo exhibition here in Singapore, which will take place at ShanghART Singapore later this month.
The exhibition will display a total of six of the artist's works, including three videos and two photography series.
