Around Town
Pick of the Week
GET in the mood for Halloween with Universal Studios Singapore's Halloween Horror Nights 4. Since its launch in 2011 the event has attracted thrill-seekers and horror enthusiasts for a night of sinister fun. This year, for the first time, the event will feature a 3D horror house, where guests will be "transported into a Psychedelic experience". If 3D monsters are not enough for you, there are three haunted houses and four immersive scare zones to choose from. Each house and zone follows a story filled with a sense of horror. Haunted houses vary from The LAB (Laboratory of Alien Breeding), where aliens are created to destroy the human race, to bullying victim's lair, Jing's Revenge. In the weekends leading up to Halloween, the park will be transformed into a "demoncracy" where a reign of terror awaits participants, with special "scare-actors" committed to making your childhood nightmares and urban legends come to life. Organisers are certain that all these elements and back stories will "bring the horror factor closer to guests - even emotionally", making this year's event a must-do.
Halloween Horror Nights 4 runs for 13 nights over five weekends, from Oct 3-5, Oct 10-11, Oct 17-18, Oct 22-25, Oct 31 and Nov 1, 2014, from 7.30pm to 1.30am each evening. Adult tickets cost S$68 with a variety of VIP passes and packages available. For more information log on to www.halloweenhorrornights.com.sg
