T.H.E DANCE COMPANY: TRIPLE BILL
Dec 3-5, 8pm
THE first piece of the triple bill is Kuik Swee Boon's Pellucid, which debuted in 2008 to rave reviews. The Straits Times described the four-person minimalist piece as "utterly gorgeous in its simplicity, sophisticated in its subtlety". The other two works are new and promising: Indonesia's acclaimed choreographer Jecko Siompo combines Jakarta street dance, Papuan tribal dance and American hip-hop moves into a seamless whole, while Spain's Iratxe Ansa creates emotionally raw and rigorous choreography that marks her as a dancer's dancer.
