TEAM Jacob will have a howling good time with Tracers, a fast-paced but forgettable by-the-numbers crime caper starring their favourite werewolf, Taylor Lautner, from the Twilight movie series.
It checks off a list of things that will keep his rabid pack of teenage female fans happy. That means, contractually, the 23-year-old who's also a martial artist, will have to alternate between performing his own stunts and making goo goo eyes at the camera; and more importantly, at some point in the film find a reason to take off his shirt. (Good news: Lautner gamely obliges.)
All of the above also seem more important than the plot which feels secondary and looks as if the team of five screenwriters - Kevin Lund, Leslie Bohem, Matt Johnson, Matthew Johnson and TJ Scott - put it together by mixing and matching the cliches of straight-to-video B-grade action thrillers.
