Tales of two nations brought to life
Another Country takes a dramatised romp through over 60 texts from both sides of the Causeway.
OUT of all the theatre or art programmes planned with the theme of Singapore's 50th anniversary in mind, Wild Rice's Another Country tops the list in my book.
First, it's the significance: SG50 wouldn't have been possible without Singapore's separation from Malaysia.
And then there's the A-list of literature and writings by authors of both countries, brought to life on stage by excellent actors on both sides of the Causeway. Is it surprising then, that Another Country could engage and enthral for three hours - bringing the audience through excerpts of over 60 books and articles?
