Cloud Gate 2 leaves crowd on cloud nine
THOSE who skipped Taiwanese Cloud Gate 2's triple bill debut here because they thought it would be an extension of the main company's zen-like pieces, would have missed out on an exhilarating night of dance.
The opening piece - Wicked Fish, choreographed by Huang Yi - opened with breathtaking movement, and the pace did not let up.
The imagery of a school of fish flitting about in sun-dappled waters was beautifully brought out by the choreography.
