In Full Bloom
Heading to the Netherlands or Europe over the next few weeks? It's not too late to catch Keukenhof, the annual showcase for the Dutch floricultural industry. Visitors head there to be bombarded by a colourful frenzy of seven million flowers, including 500 varieties of tulips. Besides tulips, daffodils and other bulb flowers are also in bloom this spring, including a large display of freesias in the Oranje Nassau Pavilion.
If you love tulips in particular, do make a stop at the Juliana Pavilion, where you can christen your own tulip, see how they are cultivated and get advice on how to grow these flower bulbs in your garden. On top of this flower overload, there's more to see at the Beatrix Pavilion, where the largest orchid show in Europe takes place.
