The Hook Of Art Books
In recent years, there's been a plethora of new local self-published magazines - or zines, for short. They cover all manner of fun, compelling and esoteric subjects: from philosophy Singapore-style to the reasons longrunning TV show Tanglin is a total flop. They sometimes come in strange shapes or containers, and include cool ephemera such as photographs and handwritten notes. Find these and more at the fourth edition of the Singapore Art Book Fair, which has quickly become one of the best places in the country to scour for hip, hard-to-find titles. (See Pann Lim's My Weekend) Singapore Art Book Fair is now on till April 30 at Gillman Barracks, from 10am to 8pm.
