The Pillowman is coming back
LOCAL theatre company Pangdemonium hasn't got to the point where it is considering re-staging its plays. But Tracie Pang, the company's co-artistic director, is making an exception for The Pillowman, which she directed 10 years ago.
Technically, it's not a re-staging by the six-year-old company since the award-winning play written by Irish dramatist Martin McDonagh was first presented in Singapore in 2007 and 2008 by the Singapore Repertory Theatre.
The drama starts with the police interrogating a short story writer about the gruesome contents of his stories because of their uncanny similarities to a series of child murders in town.
