ANYONE CAN POP INTO the Audi Museum to view the premium carmaker's historic exhibits but only a mere handful will be allowed inside the Audi Tradition building where the essence of its automotive heritage is stored away on three utilitarian levels.

Architecturally, the contrast between the two facilities could not be more different.

The Audi Museum Mobile in Ingolstadt in southern Germany is a modern building with a lush garden setting.
