Diesel models may not continue to reap a huge registration rebate, come Jan 1 next year, but what is certain is that they will still be more frugal than a petrol-engined car with a similar displacement.

One manufacturer which is especially proud of its diesel engine's fuel efficiency is Land Rover, which has introduced the Discovery Sport 2.0 TD4 to complement the 2.0 Si4 petrol variant.

The 2.0 TD4 is an Ingenium turbodiesel designed and manufactured in-house by Jaguar Land Rover, and this is the first time a Land Rover in Singapore is available with the state-of-the-art engine.
