Cellists from Croatia rock
THEY may be trained classical cellists but Croatian music duo 2CELLOS are far from being your formal, uptight virtuosos.
Sitting on stage - a set of drums behind them - Luka Sulic and Sjtephan Hauser kicked off their first solo concert in Singapore with a mellow cover of Benedictus by Karl Jenkins. After which, Sulic said to the 3,500 strong audience at the Star Theatre: "The most important thing to know is that this is not a classical music concert."
With that, the duo launched into hard core pop, including Viva La Vida by Coldplay and Shape of My Heart by Sting dedicated to all the ladies in the house.
