PATRICIA URQUIOLA LOVES a creative challenge. It allows her to free her mind, dispel any notion of conventional thinking and to simply, create. Most of all, it provides an opportunity to break the mould with a unique aesthetic for an item of furniture, a hotel interior or a retail space. That propensity for free-flowing flexibility, along with a sense of playfulness, has propelled Urquiola into the upper echelons of her profession, earning plaudits along the way.
