"I tend to work on weekends because #vinyloftheday is a global platform and our target audience is in the US and Europe, so while it's Saturday morning for me, it's still Friday over there. When I get some free time, I'll make a trip to Red Point Record (80 Playfair Road, #06-11). It's a warehouse filled with vinyls and they have a lot of rare stuff so chances are you'll find something interesting. Plus it's only about 150m from my office!

I also like to hang out at Choice Cuts Goods + Coffee (486 Serangoon Road), a cafe and record store. It's a new retail concept set up about two months ago by a collective called Matteblacc, who are hip-hop DJs. You can even bring your own records and have a friendly jam there. The vinyl titles they stock are also not the usual stuff you find elsewhere; they focus more on hip-hop and rare soul/funk.
