Fitting right in the heart of Orchard
HONMA customers will now have an added incentive to visit the Pan-West Wheelock place outlet. It recently opened South-east Asia's first Honma Performance Fitting Studio together with Honma Golf Japan. The studio will offer full Honma customisation and fitting services, and golfers will be able to practise their swing on a High Definition Golf simulator which has been installed in the studio.
The trained club fitter will analyse golfers' shot patterns with the use of the simulator to determine analytics such as shot distance, ball and club head speed, horizontal and vertical launch angles, smash factor, spin rates, spin axis and club head path and face angles. Further analysis can also be conducted to determine the most appropriate club head model, lie angle, shaft and grip combination.
Says Pan-West Singapore general manager Deepak Tomar: "Pan-West represents Honma in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Having a centralised custom fitting facility in Singapore will help service loyal Honma customers better across the region."
He adds: "What sets it apart from other performance fitting studios in Singapore is its location in the heart of Orchard Road, the use of a golf simulator (High Definition Golf Simulator) rather than just a launch monitor, and personalisation options available such as different colour club heads and shafts, name engraving on clubs and embroidery on golf bags."
Aside from containing advanced computer vision technology which provides comprehensive and precise shot analysis, the simulator also features a number of world-renowned golf courses including Pebble Beach, Kiawah Island, Pinehurst, Doral, Troon North and Bethpage Black.
