Crab Special
Sri Lanka's star restaurant Ministry of Crab makes a second appearance in Singapore for a two-night pop up ending on June 28 at the Shangri-la Hotel Singapore. It's helmed by chef-owner Dharshan Munidasa, who put his country in the spotlight when his Colombo restaurant was listed in the Asia's 50Best Restaurants list (it's now ranked #35). For his five-course menu, Sri Lankan crabs are naturally the star in dishes such as his version of pepper crab cooked in handcrushed peppercorns; Crab Liver Pate served with melba toast; and Baked Crab in form of creamy risotto served in its shell. Sri Lanka's special lake prawns also share the spotlight as the large specimens are tossed in olive oil, garlic and chilli. Priced at S$188 per person, the pop up is held in the hotel's Dutch Pavilion from 7pm.
