Singapore's leading contemporary dance group T.H.E. Dance Company has created some of the most thrilling works in recent memory. Titled Three Kin, this triple-bill by company founder Kuik Swee Boon and guest choreographers Kim Jae Duk of South Korea and Dimo Kirilov Milev of Spain promises to deliver.Kuik is reworking Water Bloom, his NUS Arts Festival 2009 commission. It centres on the complex relationship between Man and Nature, and pleads for a greater awareness of the environment. Kim, a regular collaborator with T.H.E. since 2011, has an electrifying new piece set to music he devised himself.
Finally, there is Milev, who has been T.H.E.'s artist-in-residence for 2017. The former principal dancer of the Spanish National Dance Company's new work, Someone keep me upright, explores the theme of compassion..
