Doggie bags
Barely have time to cook for yourself, never mind your best friend? If you're the health-conscious sort seeking natural and nutritious options for your canine companion, don't fret - nowadays, there are online services even for that.
Dehydrated meat treats, bone broths for dogs, and even green slushies (vegetables that are blended to aid digestion and absorption of nutrients) are just some of the things you can get these days from a growing number of independent online start-ups. Beyond these meal toppers however, you can go one step further and subscribe to their long-term plans, where your pet's meals are delivered to your doorstep.
One new service is The Grateful Dog - an AVA-certified kitchen recently launched by two local dog-lovers. They offer three different subscription packages with options like beef and sweet potato, chicken and millet, or pork and oats. The meals are individually vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen, so their customers just need to thaw each pack before feeding. Prices vary depending on the options you select, as well as your dog's weight.
