The Chinese answer to New York's Eataly, China Live is one of the most anticipated openings in San Francisco. Located on Broadway Street at the intersection of Chinatown and North Beach, the multi-faceted food emporium by veteran restaurateur George Chen will feature a retail section, tea and pastry café, bar, two restaurants and a rooftop destination with views of Oakland Bay Bridge and downtown San Francisco. Currently open are Market Restaurant - serving everything from dim sum to wok stir fries - and Oolong cafe which offers artisanal teas sourced from farmers in Taiwan and China. The project is designed by New York-based AvroKO, and features its trademark cultural references like bespoke blue and white Chinese tiles depicting images of the city.
