Sheere Ng, who runs writing studio In Plain Words with her fiancé, was moved to start a non-commercial project involving food and its association with memories after she finished a Masters in Food Studies programme at Boston University a few years ago.
She says: "Learning about how memory can relate to food really interested me, and I wanted to explore it further. I've found that in Singapore, people are increasingly consumers rather than producers, and I'm hoping that my project will encourage people to re-think that."
