Two star comfort
The newly minted two-Michelin-starred Waku Ghin shows regular folk more love with a beefed-up bar menu that lets you indulge in its exquisite Japanese-inspired cuisine at a fraction of its omakase prices. You can easily get a full meal for under S$100 a head, unless you have an oscietra caviar craving that you can't ignore. Load up on crisp sweet vegetables dipped into warm bagna cauda (S$20) and spaghetti with lobster, tomato, chilli and basil (S$26), or indulge in a comforting bowl of grilled Omi wagyu on rice (S$30). Or dig into chef Tetsuya Wakuda's favourite comfort food of marinated fried chicken (S$20) that beats The Bird anytime, or the irresistible salty, umami-rich toasted parma ham and truffle sandwiches (S$26).
