IT'S a pretty good time to be a rugby fan in Singapore these days. The National Stadium at the Singapore Sports Hub will play host to three Super Rugby matches from March to May next year, and sandwiched between those games is the Singapore leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series in April.
The Republic could also be the venue for an exhibition match involving the British Lions, which is being planned for early-2017.
But first up is the 68th edition of the Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) International Rugby Sevens next week, with a record 24 teams from 11 countries looking to slug it out at the Padang for the coveted Ablitt Cup.
