TEAM Citi have been a loyal supporter of The Business Times Corporate League since its inception in 2010, and it's an event that they are delighted to support for a number of reasons, says Team Citi's Chris Chew. "Over the past seven years, the competition always attracted top corporate teams. We have also seen the event evolve to become more competitive, better organised and increase in prestige. The changes in the rules of the competition, instituted two years ago, have also made it more fun enabling closer competition between the teams."

He notes: "The league provides a platform for both our staff, business partners and clients to interact on a social setting and take part in some healthy competition. It is also a great opportunity for us to network with companies across different industries and catch up with old acquaintances that we have made since the tournament's inception."

Team Citi have consistently finished in a strong position on the league's table. In 2013, they finished second behind Team SunMoon, they were fourth in 2014 and came in third last year. They currently lie in seventh position with 303 points after three rounds, and Mr Chew believes the team has the winning mentality.

"We want to do better every year and have managed to climb up the league table. We hope that this year is no different! We have a good combination of players who have prior BT League experience and a number of new recruits this year. We are working on improving our performance in each round." He adds: "Team camaraderie is a big attribute for us. Our golfers feel proud to be part of the team, want to win for each other and at the same time have fun together."
