Top entertainers gather to celebrate the life of the late Iskandar Ismail, the former artistic director of ChildAid.
THE music of the late Iskandar Ismail will come back to life in a free concert at the Esplanade on Jan 23.
Leading entertainers such as Dick Lee, Selena Tan and Ivan Heng, who have collaborated with him on various albums or stage shows, will perform songs or deliver eulogies to the much-loved musician who died of lung and brain cancer at the age of 58 last November. The concert will also showcase his numerous compositions over the years.
Speaking on behalf of the family, his daughter Valerie Iskandar says: "After my father died, many musicians he had worked with said that they didn't get a chance to see him before he died or to attend the funeral. So we thought that a concert would be a good way to get his friends together to celebrate his legacy and find closure. It would be what my father would have wanted too, since…
