Local food fest Savour heads to HK
AFTER three years of bringing Michelin star cuisine to the masses in Singapore, gourmet food festival SAVOUR is spreading its wings to Hong Kong and beyond.
SAVOUR Hong Kong will debut from Sept 9 to 1, with a line-up of celebrity chefs such as Christophe Muller (3 Michelin Stars, L'Auberge du Pont) and Emmanuel Stroobant (Saint Pierre) who will serve their signature dishes at affordable prices in conjunction with the Hong Kong Tennis Open at Victoria Park.
Some 15,000 people are expected at SAVOUR Hong Kong, says Darren Chen, executive director of Savour Events. The last three Savour events attracted about 50,000 people in total. Each event took place over three to five days and was designed to "make fine dining accessible to a larger audience within a curated, purpose-built event," adds Mr Chen. Past venues like the F1 Pit Building were turned into carnival-like surroundings where people could mingle and sample dishes by chefs like Alain Passard of L'Arpege and Alvin Leung of BO Innovation from tented stands.
